Yellows miss out after Tuesday night's narrow defeat at The Orchard.
A much improved performance from Bedfont & Feltham saw them go out of the Combined Counties Premier Cup 2nd round defeated by premier side Godalming Town in new manager Dan Huxley's first game in charge.
New manager Dan Huxley's first game in charge ended in a narrow defeat, but with a much changed side from the one that lost to Sheerwater on Saturday their performance was so much better with everyone in the team giving 100%.
Despite going one down to a Bobby Bennett header on 15 minutes The Yellows did not let their heads drop and gradually came back into the game, and it was only due to the agility of Godalming's keeper Dimitrios Kyriatzis that the Yellows did not equalise before half time.
Half Time 0-1.
The second half commenced with Yellow's keeper Sam Johnson-Freeman pulling of several good saves to keep the home side in the game.
To be fair the visitors looked the more likely to score in the second half but The Yellows defence were well organised and kept Godalming at bay.
This was a much changed home side and with fitness being tested to the limit in a high tempo game the Yellows could be proud of their performance. For the home side's supporters there was at last a light at the end of the tunnel.
We welcome all the new players to The Orchard and hope they enjoy their time here.
I am sure that manager Dan Huxley would have loved to start with a win but it was a vast improvement on recent performances and there is a growing optimism at the club.
Final Score 0-1.
Good luck to Godalming Town for the next round, and for the rest of the season.
Next Fixture for The Yellows v Farleigh Rovers at the Orchard on Saturday 14th October KO 3pm.
